1September 27th, 2014 - Chris Brown entered the annual Armadillo Nationals over the weekend at Lonestar Speedway (Kilgore, Texas), which posted a $10,000 top prize.

Preliminary action opened on Thursday evening at the 3/8 mile oval with a program that saw forty-five entries register for battle. Chris won his heat race from the pole position, which transferred him to the A-Main qualifier in the seventh starting spot. During the course of the qualifier Brown battled amongst the top ten before ultimately crossing the finish line in seventh.

Friday night's preliminary event once again saw Chris win his heat race from the pole position, locking him into the fifth starting spot for the 25 lap, preliminary feature. In the feature, Brown mounted a great charge to claim the win over Steve Whiteaker, Jon Mitchell, Justin Ingalls and Bobby Malchus.

Via his performance in preliminary action Brown earned the second starting spot for the 50 lap, $10,000-to-win finale alongside pole sitter, Rodney Wing. Throughout the course of the 50 lapper, Chris battled with fourth-starting Steven Whiteaker Jr. for the top spot. When the checkered flag waved it was Brown who took home the $10,000 payday over Whiteaker, Wing, Chris Henigan and Johnny Scott.

1September 6th, 2014 - Chris Brown made the trek to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) over the weekend for the 44th Annual World 100 at the famed oval. (Zach Yost Photo)

Festivities began on Thursday night with 117 cars in the pit area as the field was divided into a pair of $5,000-to-win events. Chris earned the third starting spot for his heat race via qualifications, and went on to race to a third place finish to lock into the 25 lap, preliminary feature in the sixteenth starting spot. Brown raced around the mid-pack for much of the event before crossing the finish line in sixteenth.

Friday's program again found the field divided into a pair of $5,000-to-win races, and after qualifying 38th quickest in time trials he started on the pole of his heat race before racing to a fourth place finish, which positioned him starting on the pole of the b-main. Brown registered a second place finish in the b-main to lock into the 21st starting spot for the 25 lap, preliminary feature. Chris went on to advance nine spots to a twelfth place finish in the final rundown.

The weekend drew to a close on Saturday evening with the final night of the crown jewel. With heat race line-ups being determined by a driver's performance on the preliminary nights Chris started seventh in his heat race and finished seventh, sending him to a b-main. Brown failed to reach a transfer position to the 100 lap, $47,000-to-win finale in the b-main, bringing his weekend to an early end.
