February 15th, 2014 - Chris Brown returned to Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas on Friday night for round #2 of the 5th Annual USMTS Texas Spring Nationals and claimed his second victory of the season in just his second event.

Much like the previous night, Brown had to claw his way to the front during the 40 lap feature event that boosted a $3,000 top prize. Chris rolled off from the tenth starting position and quickly began his charge to the front when the field took the green. Brown began to apply pressure to early race leader Dereck Ramirez as the field saw they halfway signal.

The caution flag came out on lap 22 for a multi-car tangle, giving Brown the opportunity he need to make the pass for the lead just two circuits later. Chris led the remaining 16 laps for his ninth career USMTS victory. Rodney Sanders finished second while Ramirez fell back to third. Jeremy Payne and Zack Vanderbeek rounded out the top five.

During preliminary race action, Brown finished second in his qualifying heat race, which locked him into his tenth place starting sport for the feature event.

The weekend drew to close with the $4,000-to-win finale on Saturday night. Chris failed to transfer into the feature via heat race action, but was able to secure a 15th place starting spot in the feature event after he finished second in the b-main. During the course of the 50 lap feature, Brown drove by six other competitors en route to a ninth place finish.

1February 13th, 2014 - Chris Brown kicked off the 5th Annual USMTS Spring Nationals at Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas on Thursday night. The Brown Motorsports team landed their #21 in victory lane after what has been described as a "barnburner" main event.

Chris won his qualifying heat race which locked him into a sixth place starting spot for the 30 lap feature. Brown worked his way up to third by lap ten, and made the pass on Fito Gallardo for the second spot just three laps later as he began to real in the leader.

With ten laps to go, Brown had caught up with race leader Stormy Scott and the two waged a side-by-side battle with each passing lap. When the white flag flew Brown edged in front and into the next corner while Scott got a strong run down the back-stretch to pull even with Brown heading into the final turn. At the finish line it would be Brown scoring his eighth career USMTS victory followed by Stormy Scott in second, Johnny Scott, Rodney Sanders, and Jason Krohn rounding out the top five.
