May 25th, 2013 - Chris Brown returned to the driver's seat of his #21 Bloomquist/Roush Yates Racing Engine Super Late Model for the first time in over a year on Thursday evening as he competed in the opening round of the 21st Annual Lucas Oil Show Me 100 at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Missouri). A stout field of seventy-three Super Late Models were on hand for the event, and with the pill draw determining heat race line ups Brown drew a big number at registration, which left hi starting ninth in the fifth heat race. He advanced to a sixth place finish in his heat, which positioned him starting fourth in the first b-main. With the top two finishers moving onto the feature he would only be able to manage a fourth place finish as his night came to an early end. Despite not qualifying for the preliminary feature it was still a strong night for the team as they made their return to Super Late Model racing. Full results from Thursday's program is available at

On Friday evening qualifying and preliminary action was held for the $30,000-to-win, 21st Annual Lucas Oil Show Me 100, which was sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS). Seventy-two cars filled the pit area, and struggles in qualifying left Brown starting eleventh in his heat race on a very rough track. He would manage to advance to a seventh place finish in his heat, which sent him to a b-main on Saturday night, where he started in the seventh position. Unfortunately in the b-main he slide backwards to a ninth place finish, which left him short of qualifying for the feature.

While he didn't qualify for the finale Chris did earn a starting spot in the Midwest Sheet Metal Non-Qualifier's Race, which posted a $2,000-to-win/$250-to-start purse. After starting 21st in the race he advanced to a thirteenth place finish at the checkered flag.

In the redraw he was the recipient of the seventh starting spot. During the course of the finale he battled in the top ten before registering a ninth place finish at the checkered flag.

Saturday night took the team to West Plains Motor Speedway (West Plains, Missouri), where another $2,000-to-win program was contested.
